    Serving options

Use this oats mixture to make Apple Pie Overnight Oats, Mixed Berry Overnight Oats, Pear and Blueberry Overnight Oats or add your favourite toppings. I look for freshness, crunch, and any complementary spices or additions that add the extra flavor.

Some of my favorite toppings are:

    • Fresh fruit slices such as bananas, apples, strawberries, raspberries, pears, pineapples, kiwis, cherries, or any fresh seasonal fruit that you can find.
    • For the crunch – toasted and cooled nuts such as sliced or slivered almonds, pecans, pistachios, lightly toasted shredded or sliced coconut, goji berries, cacao nibs, chopped dates, raisins, cranberries, dried apricots, chopped dark chocolate, toasted and cooled sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds or linseeds.
    • For extra flavour – cinnamon, pumpkin spice, ginger, turmeric, cardamom, vanilla, cacao powder, protein powder for added protein, almond butter or any other nut butter.

    Storage instructions

Store the oats mixture overnight or up to 6 hours in the fridge and enjoy with your favorite topping on the following day.

Oats mixture for overnight oats will stay fresh in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days, though best the next morning.
You can also freeze the oats mixture in an airtight container, and it stays fresh for up to 2 and a half months. Just take it out of the freezer an hour before you plan to eat, and enjoy with your favorite toppings.
