Are you looking for a nutritious and quick breakfast for your busy mornings? Then, these berry cheesecake overnight oats are an absolute must-try!
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But when you have limited time to prepare it, it can become the most uninspiring meal. That is why I love the concept of overnight oats. With a little bit of preparation on the previous night, you can enjoy a healthy breakfast to fuel your day.
What are overnight oats?
Overnight oats are a great make-ahead breakfast or snack made by soaking raw rolled oats overnight in liquid: popular choices include dairy-free on non-dairy free milk of your choice or Greek yoghurt. Just add your favourite toppings, and you are good to go.
They are perfect for hectic mornings when you are looking for a grab-and-go breakfast.
Overnight oats are also a great post-workout snack or as a dessert. They contain fiber, protein, magnesium, potassium, omega-3 fatty acids and are great for gut health.
What do the berry cheesecake overnight oats taste like
The berry cheesecake overnight oats are delicious jars with alternate layers of berry compote that gives it the cheesecake-like taste, a delightful overnight oats base, and additional toppings that add freshness and crunch.

How to make them
Making these jars is fun and straightforward.
First, prepare the berry compote as it needs to cool completely.
Place a small saucepan on low heat. Add the fresh berries, vanilla essence, maple syrup (optional) and, combine well. Bring this to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Once it is completely cool, add coconut yoghurt to half the berry compote mixture and mix well.
Next, prepare the oats mixture base in a bowl.
Now, gather the mason jars and create alternate layers of the berry compote and the overnight oats mixture. Start by adding the berry compote, overnight oats base and top it with the berry compote and yogurt mixture. Close the jars with a tight lid and refrigerate overnight. This process will allow the oats to soften and all the flavours to infuse.
The next day, open the jars and enjoy as is or garnish with your favourite toppings. I like adding pistachios and toasted coconut flakes for some crunch and fresh berries for added freshness.
